The Balloonists

Welcome to the world of Tevasse - a series of precipitous cliffs and forbidding mountains connected by flimsy rope bridges and ladders which criss cross the cliff faces. Most transport, especially over long distance, is by balloons (hot air, magic or otherwise). These huge contraptions feature several large balloons attached to wide flets. Ropes and ladders dangle from these platforms and food, medicine, and news deliverers swing from the ropes down to the ground and back up again as they move between the small villages. This is a risky society, where plummeting to one’s death or being injured by the rocks or tangled up in ropes is a daily possibility. 

You and your group are the crew and passengers of one of these balloons.
